Falcon Athletics Field Hockey

 

2024 Overnight & Extended Day  Camp at Montclair State University!!

 

This camp will be led by  Eileen O'Reilly, Head Coach Montclair State University (DIII) and Jennifer Eden, Assistant Coach of Ramapo College (DIII)

 

 This is an excellent opportunity to get college level training and get preseason ready!

**There will be separate instruction for goalies**

Dates:

WEEK 1: July 22nd-25th (Monday-Thursday)

AND/OR 

WEEK 2: July 29th-Aug 1st (Monday-Thursday)

Open to:

Players ages 10-19. All playing abilities welcomed! 

 

Tentative Check In/Out Schedule:

Check In: 12pm – 1pm on Monday for extended day and overnight campers. First meal is Dinner, please plan accordingly. Check-in location is TBD.

Check Out:  . Parents will be invited to attend final scrimmages in the morning. Check-out and departure will follow at 12:00pm on Thursday at a TBD location

Sample Full Day Schedule:

8am- Breakfast for Overnight Campers

9am- Extended Day Campers arrive 

9am-12pm- Developmental/Individual Stick Work

12pm- Lunch and rest for Overnight & Extended Day Campers

2pm-5pm- Afternoon Sessions- Numbers up/down situations, Field Hockey fun games, team building activities, chalk-talk, defensive & offensive strategies, how to build a press, etc. 

5pm- Dinner  for Overnight & Extended Day Campers

6pm-9pm- Game play of 7v7 and full field scrimmages, Extended day check out after night games. 

All meals will be taken in the dinning hall. Extended Day: Lunch & Dinner. Overnight Campers: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Cost: 

$625- Overnight (per session week)

$525 Extended Day Commuter (per session week)

                     $25 per player Early Registration Discount by MARCH 24th 2024!

                    $25 per player discount for teams of 10 or more (Can be combined with  Early Registration Discount when used by March24th!) 

         $25 TEAM DISCOUNT: Must email BEFORE registering players for details & team discount code.  Discounts will not be credited/applied once players are registered. Please have all members of your team ready to register together for the team discount. 

Please note: All athletes must bring their own equipment including field hockey stick, shin guards, mouth guard, & water. 
​Goalkeepers must bring their own protective equipment as well. If athletes are not properly equipped they will not be allowed to play. Dates & times subject to change based on facility availability. **Any credits with Falcon Athletics can not be applied to this camp**

Montclair State University Covid-19 Protocols:

• As of 6/3/2023 Montclair State University has lifted all Covid-19 protocols for overnight and extended day summer campers.  

• As of June 1, 2023, Montclair State is no longer requiring COVID vaccination for overnight campers. 

   

  Additionally, there are no longer requirements for pre-camp PCR testing and campers are not required to complete the daily ‘Hawk Check’ survey.

   

  We are no longer using the Med+Proctor vaccine verification platform that was used last year for camp. 

   

  Campers will need to submit immunization records with their pre-camp health record form. All campers are required to bring a printed copy of the health record to registration.
